August Newsletter
Editorial

 Hi Everyone.!

It’s only been a brief period since I wrote the last  newsletter, (in fact most of you will receive the two issues in the same envelope) however this issue is an attempt to catch up to date with our golf and association news.

Our loyal band of supporters were there once again, however this time they were rewarded with a perfect day for golf. Finally we had received the weather we’ve been waiting for - beautiful blue skies, no wind AND a dry course to go with it.

What a way to spend a great day!

We had some more new faces join us this month, for our game at Gainsborough Greens. It really is pleasing to see people bringing more of their friends and families to join us.

Thanks everyone for your support!

The golf results can be found on Page 3.

At present we are building our calendar of events for 2009.

If you wish to propose a club that you are a member of, or simply wish to play a particular golf course, please inform your committee members so that we can arrange a day to do so.

Q.A.G.A NEWS

AUGUST BOARD MEETING

At the Board Meeting preceding our monthly golf event, it was decided that Robina Woods Golf Club will host the 2009 Q.A.G.A. Open on June 12th and 13th 2009.

The Open event will be preceded by a sponsors event to be held on June 11th.

Further details will be released as they come to hand, but bookmark these dates now and make your plans to attend.

The Q.A.G.A. will also host the 2010 Australian Open and early plans are being prepared for this event. Again, we will keep you informed as details come to hand.

Just For Laughs

Sex life

A golfer is in a competitive match with a friend, who is ahead by a couple of strokes.

“Boy, I'd give anything to sink this putt,” the Golfer mumbles to himself.

Just then, a stranger walks up beside him and whispers “Would you be willing to give up one-fourth of your sex life?”
Thinking the man is crazy and his answer will be meaningless, the golfer also feels that maybe this is a good omen so he says, “Sure” and sinks the putt.

Two holes later, he mumbles to himself again, “Gee, I sure would like to get  an eagle on this one.”
The same stranger is at his side again and whispers, “Would it be worth giving up another fourth of your sex  life”?  Shrugging, the golfer replies, “Okay” he replies, and he makes an eagle.

On the final hole, the golfer needs another eagle to win. Without waiting
for him to say anything, the stranger quickly moves to his side and
says, “Would winning this match be worth giving up the rest of your Sex life?”

“Definitely!” said the golfer and he makes another eagle.

As the golfer is walking to the club house, the stranger walks alongside him and says, “I haven't really been fair with you because you don't know  who I am. - I'm the Devil, and from this day forward you will have no sex life.”

“Nice to meet you,” the golfer replies, “I'm Father O'Malley.”
